Description and Use of Resistor Calculator 1.0.6

A simple, easy-to-use freeware for Windows that saves a lot of time and effort in determining the colour code of resistors and resistance values required for LED circuits.

On the basis of the entered or calculated resistor value additionally the closest resistor within the E series as well as within the Renard numbers is displayed automatically.

As another feature the program can calculate the required resistor value for LED circuits (single LED, series connection and parallel connection) considering the supply voltage, the voltage drop across the LED(s) as well as the current of the LED(s).

Features of Resistor Calculator at a glance:

- Calculating the color code of a resistor value.
- Calculating the resistor value of a color code.
- Displaying the closest resistor of the E series and Renard numbers.
- Resistor calculation for LED circuits (single, in series, parallel).
- Integrated help system.
- Automatic program updates.
- Multilingual (at the moment English and German).
- Intuitive program interface.
- Free e-mail support in case of problems or questions.
- All updates for free.

This software is available free to download and easy-to-use. Click here to download.

How to use:

- This electronic software is easy-to-use and requires no extra skills or learning. When you install this software, double click on the desktop to run it.
After this, you will see a screen with 2 different tabs. On 1st tab, you will see the category to select the Resistor value with its color band and also helps new learner to identify the resistor with their color band.
In 2nd tab, you will see the LED circuits which specify the value of resistor on their respective right hand side column. One can change the value of power supply of its circuit with value of current of LED will be used in your circuit. This measurements help software to automatically select the value of resistor and gives the drop voltage will occur across your circuit.

Buzzer interface with 8051 microcontroller

Buzzer  is a electronic device that converts the electronic signal into buzzing noise, that is applied to it. It can be used as electronic bell or as quiz buzzer in many applications around us. Here, i world like to discuss the interfacing of a small buzzer with 8051 microcontroller and how different projects can be constructed. Buzzer Interfacing: This project shows the interface with AT89S52 microcontroller to a buzzer. When a push button is pressed, the buzzer will get ON and OFF ( number of times set in the code ) and then stops. Circuit Diagram: - The port P1 of the microcontroller is connected to buzzer. This type of connection is possible, if the current requirements of the buzzer is not more than 20mA. The output is in current source mode so that buzzer will turn ON when the output of the port is logic LOW. Switch is connected to port P3 which remains at logic HIGH by pull up resistor.  Code: #include "REG52.h" #define buz P1 sbit SW=P3^0; long i...

Comparison Chart Between 8051, 8052, 8031and 8751

8051 is a popular 8-bit microcontroller and has been used in many applications since Intel introduced it. Many 8051 architecture are produced by Triscend, Intel, Atmel, Philips, Infineon (Siemens), ISSI, and Max Corp. Today, 8051 microcontrollers may not be popular but, the 8051 architecture is still popular and employed in thousands of embedded applications. This 8-bit architecture has been different segments such as 8052, 8051, 8751 and 8031 . 8052 is the super-set of 8051 and 8031 is the memory-less microcontroller hence, it has interfaced with external ROM. Whereas, 8751 chip has only 4Kbytes of on chip UV-EPROM. Everyone knows about the general 40-pin microcontroller i.e. 8051 introduced by Intel in 1980s and consists of serial communication pins, Timer, Interrupts, RAM, ROM. It has 4 ports and each port has 8 pins, total 32 pins and other 8 pins for other purposes. 8052 is the super-set of 8051 that consists of 8K bytes of internal RAM (4K in 8051), 256 by...

Samsung Refrigerator runs on Android OS with Wifi feature

Today, you think that only smartphones are getting smart and daily launched with new technology. So, look at Samsung T9000 refrigerator that is installed with 10-inch touchscreen running on Android OS and having Wi-Fi feature included with apps such as Epicurious for recipes and Evernote for note-taking. In fact, this fridge has been launched in the Consumer Electronics Show 2013, Vegas and it will be available at $3999. Innovation inside the refrigerator T9000: - The Samsung T9000 is a 32-cubic-foot, four-door fridge that has two compressors, three evaporators and a large number of various sensors with storage capacity of 722 liters. The innovation added is 10-inch Wi-Fi enabled touchscreen that can help you navigate Internet and help you to decide what should be cooked and what are the recipes. Features: One can also create shopping list using the Evernote app and this list can be viewed on your smartphone with synchronizing feature. It help...
