The small LED (Light Emitting Diode) bulbs play a vital role in the embedded projects whether in terms of measuring the proper working of the circuit or making 8x8 LED matrix hardware for the project. Usually, students don't consider which LED should be used while making their hardware, if it is based on the collection of different LEDs. They just pick up LEDs which is available to them.
What is the advantage of using Red LED?
- By reading the above, you now can get the advantages of using Red LED in your embedded project. It will appear light up even at low voltage. Hence, total voltage consumption will be less when more number of combinations of Red LEDs are used than white LEDs combination. And finally, makes your project efficient.
- Due to less scattering, it will display more clear visual, if someone makes project to display character on LED Matrix (combination of LEDs in row and column format). Thus, it gives better project presentation and clear vision to anyone who looks to your project.
- It is the reason why 7 segment displays use Red LEDs instead of using any other colored LEDs. And you will discover most of the embedded projects using this Red LED advantages to present their project.
It's totally depends on the need of one's embedded project and availability of hardware. I am not telling that you have to use only Red LED but, discussing the advantages of using Red LED and helping you in making better project.
