Expecting Technologies in 2013

Technology is an integral part of humans lives. I am only discussing on the basis of what i have calculated and researched that can be introduced in the tech market in 2013. In fact, i can't actually predict what going to happen in 2013. The technology changes at every moment and every minute. No one can tell the future specially in terms of technology. But, here i am gonna discuss about the upcoming tech trends of 2013 which i read and heard.

1. 3D Printing

- Yes, there is news of coming 3D printer in the market in coming days. Now, you not only watch 3D on your TV but you can print it your work in 3D format too. You can buy a 3D printer and just print out a model, create a toy on your own. The technology has been around for sometimes but Desktop 3D printer like Maker Bot ($2000)have only begun to emerge in the electronics market. That means 3D printing is not far from your work station in the distant future. How does 3D printing words?

2. Wrist Watches that automatically synchronize your location

- The SIEKO Astron watch with radio controlled personal time, automatically tune to atomic time. Seiko Astron watches are the World’s first GPS solar watch. Radio transmitter globally sends out a signal on the accurate time and reset them automatically. You don't have to reset your watch when you land somewhere else in the world. The Astron uses solar power to charge their battery. But, this could be out of reach from most the people as it costs around $3000.

3. Tablet-cum-Laptop

- In market you can see that many electronics company are launching Tablet-cum-laptops to lure the customers. They are not much affordable and can cost you higher than a notebook. One will get Tablet as well on buying these products so will required heavy computers consuming whole your study table space. These are handy and portable. Desktop-cum-tablet such HP's ENVY 23 have been already launched in the market and there are more such type are waiting to come in 2013. So, one can wait for the affordable priced product.

4. Specialized Social Network called Micro Networks

- The new way of social networking is taking place in our lives. Facebook and Twitter changed the way we interact and Pinterest and Instagram have become one of the top social networking sites, which have enabled people to share images and be creative. But, some people feel they are compromising with their privacy. This gave birth to specialized micro networks launched by Google with their Google plus site, where one could put people in circles with limitations. You can also use iPhone applications such as called Pair that lets you setup a network between you and your friends and loved one.

5. Intelligent Devices

- There are already available Smartphones and now, Smart TV that can connect you with Internet and update your status on Social Networking sites. There has been Intelligent Refrigerator that tells you that you are out of milks or eggs, and a water-bottle that keeps track of how much water you have drunk and how much you have to consume in a day. Don't be surprised if you see driverless car coming in 2013. The Driverless cars are already under the final test on roads and can be launched soon in the market.

Buzzer interface with 8051 microcontroller

Buzzer  is a electronic device that converts the electronic signal into buzzing noise, that is applied to it. It can be used as electronic bell or as quiz buzzer in many applications around us. Here, i world like to discuss the interfacing of a small buzzer with 8051 microcontroller and how different projects can be constructed. Buzzer Interfacing: This project shows the interface with AT89S52 microcontroller to a buzzer. When a push button is pressed, the buzzer will get ON and OFF ( number of times set in the code ) and then stops. Circuit Diagram: - The port P1 of the microcontroller is connected to buzzer. This type of connection is possible, if the current requirements of the buzzer is not more than 20mA. The output is in current source mode so that buzzer will turn ON when the output of the port is logic LOW. Switch is connected to port P3 which remains at logic HIGH by pull up resistor.  Code: #include "REG52.h" #define buz P1 sbit SW=P3^0; long i...

Comparison Chart Between 8051, 8052, 8031and 8751

8051 is a popular 8-bit microcontroller and has been used in many applications since Intel introduced it. Many 8051 architecture are produced by Triscend, Intel, Atmel, Philips, Infineon (Siemens), ISSI, and Max Corp. Today, 8051 microcontrollers may not be popular but, the 8051 architecture is still popular and employed in thousands of embedded applications. This 8-bit architecture has been different segments such as 8052, 8051, 8751 and 8031 . 8052 is the super-set of 8051 and 8031 is the memory-less microcontroller hence, it has interfaced with external ROM. Whereas, 8751 chip has only 4Kbytes of on chip UV-EPROM. Everyone knows about the general 40-pin microcontroller i.e. 8051 introduced by Intel in 1980s and consists of serial communication pins, Timer, Interrupts, RAM, ROM. It has 4 ports and each port has 8 pins, total 32 pins and other 8 pins for other purposes. 8052 is the super-set of 8051 that consists of 8K bytes of internal RAM (4K in 8051), 256 by...

Different ways to generate delays in 8051

The delay length in 8051 microcontroller depends on three factors: The crystal frequency the number of clock per machine the C compiler. The original 8051 used 1/12 of the crystal oscillator frequency as one machine cycle. In other words, each machine cycle is equal to 12 clocks period of the crystal frequency connected to X1-X2 pins of 8051. To speed up the 8051, many recent versions of the 8051 have reduced the number of clocks per machine cycle from 12 to four, or even one. The frequency for the timer is always 1/12th the frequency of the crystal attached to the 8051, regardless of the 8051 version. In other words, AT89C51, DS5000, and DS89C4x0 the duration of the time to execute an instruction varies, but they all use 1/12th of the crystal's oscillator frequency for the clock source. 8051 has two different ways to generate time delay using C programming, regardless of 8051 version. The first method is simply using Loop   program function in which Delay() funct...
