Review on low price Nokia Lumia smartphones

Nokia has launched Window based smartphones such as Lumia 920, 820, 720, 620, 520. Lumia 920 may be out of the budget for many but, this phone is the top smartphone in its segment. But, here we discuss the low and budgeted phones of Nokia Lumia series and see what fits to you.

Verdict:

Nokia Lumia 720, 620, and 520 all are launched between the range Rs.10,000 to Rs.20,000 and working very well for people willing to enjoy new OS phones especially window OS based. As per the verdict by NDTV gadgets and cnet.co.uk, Nokia Lumia 720 looks better to use with bundle of Nokia apps and can be fitted to pocket in just 18,000(according to flipkart store) whereas, Nokia Lumina 620 only lagging behind by Lumia 720 in looks but, this limitation is countered by its value that can be bought in Rs.14,000 (approx value). But this might be not the case with Nokia Lumia 520, it is lagging behind in terms of rear camera quality and display screen which could be better. Only advantage of Nokia Lumia 520 is its price which is approximately Rs.10,000.

Comparison:

1. Overall Design and Build-up:- Nokia 720 with dimensions of 128mm long and 68mm wide, comes with 4.3 inch display. Whereas, Nokia 620, with dimensions 115mm long and 61mm wide, launched with 3.8 inch screen and the lowest price Nokia 520 comes with 4-inch screen. All three phones come with scratch resistance screen and IPS LCD WVGA display.

2. Processor and Speed:- Here all phones stand the same. All three are build upon 1GHz dual-core processor with 512 RAM. So, you no need to worry about the performance of the phones in terms of their speed.

3. Camera quality:- Nokia 720 is build with a resolution of 480x800 pixels, which is the same as the resolution on the 620. As the 620 is squashing the same pixels into a smaller screen size, it results in the display actually being slightly sharper having 246 pixels per inch, rather than an inferior 217ppi on the 720. Whereas, Nokia 520 runs with 233ppi and showed the bad quality images compared to 720 and 620. Nokia 720 packs the highest megapixels of camera of 6.7 compared to Nokia 620 and 520 having 5 megapixel camera.

4. Performance and Other features:- All phones come with Window OS and have limited available Nokia apps. But, Nokia apps are very limited in Nokia 520 and 620 compared to 720. The Lumia 720 comes with 2000mAh battery backup compared to the Lumia 520 comes with a 1430mAh battery, which is slightly larger than the 1300mAh battery on the Lumia 620. All three phones comes with 8 GB on board storage and can be expandable to 64GB via microSD.

Comparison between Nokia 520, Nokia 620 and Nokia 720
Now, the result comes Nokia Lumia 620 as a better value phone among all three. One can have Lumia 720 to have better looking smartphone than their competitive phones. Whereas, Nokia 520 wins only in the terms of price and does not give out much competition to phones like Sony Xperia E and Micromax Canvas HD, the Android based smartphones.

Buzzer interface with 8051 microcontroller

Buzzer  is a electronic device that converts the electronic signal into buzzing noise, that is applied to it. It can be used as electronic bell or as quiz buzzer in many applications around us. Here, i world like to discuss the interfacing of a small buzzer with 8051 microcontroller and how different projects can be constructed. Buzzer Interfacing: This project shows the interface with AT89S52 microcontroller to a buzzer. When a push button is pressed, the buzzer will get ON and OFF ( number of times set in the code ) and then stops. Circuit Diagram: - The port P1 of the microcontroller is connected to buzzer. This type of connection is possible, if the current requirements of the buzzer is not more than 20mA. The output is in current source mode so that buzzer will turn ON when the output of the port is logic LOW. Switch is connected to port P3 which remains at logic HIGH by pull up resistor.  Code: #include "REG52.h" #define buz P1 sbit SW=P3^0; long i...

Different ways to generate delays in 8051

The delay length in 8051 microcontroller depends on three factors: The crystal frequency the number of clock per machine the C compiler. The original 8051 used 1/12 of the crystal oscillator frequency as one machine cycle. In other words, each machine cycle is equal to 12 clocks period of the crystal frequency connected to X1-X2 pins of 8051. To speed up the 8051, many recent versions of the 8051 have reduced the number of clocks per machine cycle from 12 to four, or even one. The frequency for the timer is always 1/12th the frequency of the crystal attached to the 8051, regardless of the 8051 version. In other words, AT89C51, DS5000, and DS89C4x0 the duration of the time to execute an instruction varies, but they all use 1/12th of the crystal's oscillator frequency for the clock source. 8051 has two different ways to generate time delay using C programming, regardless of 8051 version. The first method is simply using Loop   program function in which Delay() funct...

How to Switch OFF Citizen Calculator

You might be confused on seeing no OFF button on your calculator. Actually, these are general calculator available at low cost in the market. They process simple calculations like division, subtraction, Addition, Multiplication. But, how will you OFF that calculator having no option on them. There is always a trick which OFF them. It depends on the company calculator and their series to which they belong. I can tell you about Citizen Calculator CT-500 (as you can see in the image), how can you switch OFF it and can save battery too. If you leave calculator idle for 6-7 minutes, it will goes OFF automatically. My calculator goes OFF in 6.50 minutes from the point of leaving it idle. But, this is not the power saving trick for these types of calculator having not much backup battery. To save the power of your normal calculator, here is the trick to switch OFF it. Press ' /(divide sign)', 'x(multiply sign)', '%(percentage sign)', 'autoreplay option(...
